On the 18th of April from 9:30am – 12:00pm, policy makers, scholars, and organizers in the Rhode Island environmental movement will host a public forum at Save the Bay’s Providence headquarters on climate change and the potential for a new energy economy in Rhode Island and around the nation. This forum is one of over 200 forums being sponsored across the country by the youth action groups 1Sky (www.1sky.org) and Focus the Nation as part of a Nationwide Town Hall on a Just and Clean Energy Future (see www.focusthenation.org). The mission of Focus the Nation is to empower young leaders to engage with their elected officials and communities to accelerate a clean energy transition. 1Sky was created in 2007 to focus the power of millions of concerned Americans on creating bold federal action by 2010 that can reverse global warming.
